Welcome to The Electric Cola Cafe—a delightful gem tucked away in Granite Falls, NC, where nostalgia bubbles up and every sip is a journey back in time. If you’re a soda enthusiast or just someone looking for a unique spot to grab a refreshing drink, this quirky café is a must-visit.

Here, you’ll discover a wondrous collection of vintage soda bottles and machines that transport you back to days gone by. Priced at an affordable $1.50 for glass bottles and just $0.50 for cans, each selection is a portal to a flavorful world waiting to be explored.

The menu features an impressive variety of drinks, from the upbeat Izze Sparkling Clementine to the classic Ibc 1919 Gold Cream Soda and the ever-popular Saranac 1888 Ginger Beer. Each sip offers a chance to experience flavors that go beyond the ordinary—there’s even a Gingerbread flavored Mountain Dew for the adventurous palate! This is a perfect venue for trying those curious flavors you might have hesitated to buy in bulk. Mark Schurer, one of our valued patrons, shares, “Cool place to stop and see vintage soda bottle machines. Nice staff if they are around. Fun funky stop.”

One of the unique features of The Electric Cola Cafe is the self-serve experience—nine nostalgic vending machines stationed on a covered outdoor porch, accessible 24/7. Here, you can sip on everything from root beer to Fanta Orange, experiencing the thrill of uncorking childhood memories while savoring flavors not easily found in local stores. As Sean Belmont noted, it's not just a soda stop; it's a full experience, complete with free snacks to accompany your fizzy favorites!

Don’t forget to bring your quarters, as the machines are cash-only, creating a truly authentic retro soda shop experience. And if you happen to visit while the indoor section is under construction, you can look forward to a diner-themed area and arcade machines coming soon, as mentioned by excited customers. Andrew Latchford emphasizes that visiting The Electric Cola Cafe is perfect for those eager to sample unique flavors without committing to larger portions, ensuring everyone finds their new favorite soda.

So, whether you’re stopping by for a quick refreshment, reminiscing over the displayed vintage collectibles, or just wanting to embrace the funky vibe of this local treasure, The Electric Cola Cafe' is ready to serve you a bubbly adventure. Come experience the joy of soda in the heart of Granite Falls, and perhaps, like Adam P. (Palmtree) said, you’ll feel like you’ve knocked some years off your age with each delightful sip!

Cool place to stop and see vintage soda bottle machines. $1.5 for glass and 50 for cans. Stock can be a problem and the actual museum may not be open but if it is then it's cool . Nice staff if they are around. Fun funky stop

Awesome 24/7 soda vending machine Cafe! There's 124 different sodas, all priced at $1.50 and most in glass bottles. If you buy a soda they also got free snacks to go with! I was also told that there will be an indoor section soon with a diner theme and arcade machines!

We’ve been here so many times and tried so many brands and flavors that you can’t get in stores locally. It’s a great way to try a soda you may have seen or heard of but didn’t want to risk a six pack or larger… Right now they have a Gingerbread flavored Mountain Dew and if you like the cookies you should try the soda!

I'm almost at a loss for words on this one. Late morning visit on a Sunday awaiting another place to open. The machines were like a time-warp taking me back to being a kid, though technically, they're older than me. 9 machines outside on the covered porch are self-serve 24/7. I don't think there was duplicated soda throughout. From Dr. Pepper to grape Nehi. In a way, I'm glad it's not around the corner, so it will remain a special trip/treat. I'm not sure if the inside is open yet or if I was just there on a closed day.

Although you could technically get a drink from here 24/7 id recommend carrying a lick charm of a kind. At night the "inside" of the building is still closed so you only have access to the vending machines outside which (believe it or not) don't have a card reader so you have to carry cash/coins
